FordBridge Events is committed to your right to privacy. If you choose to register or submit information to our website or via one of our event landing pages you agree to the use of such data in accordance with this privacy statement.

Collection of information.

The site collects only personal information that is specifically and voluntarily provided by you – for example, if you register online for an event. Such information may consist of, but is not limited to, your name, current job title, company address, email address and telephone numbers.

Use of information.

Personal information is used only for limited purposes – we will use your contact details to provide specific and necessary information related to the event you are to attend or to respond to any queries submitted by you. We may also use your information to provide you with information in relation to our upcoming events, offers, products, or services which we believe could be of interest to you or your organisation. You have the right to unsubscribe from this service by sending us an email on [email protected]. We will ensure that our marketing activities comply with applicable law and implement procedures to obtain necessary consents before sending you email containing information about FordBridge Events. You may at any time request that we discontinue sending you such materials.

Third Parties.

We may pass your data to our carefully selected business partners – i.e., only companies who host our Executive Events that you register for and attend, who may contact you only following your registration to one of our events to provide you with information which may be of interest to you. If you do not wish us to provide your information to such third parties for these purposes, please indicate that to us at the time of providing your information by contacting us at [email protected]

Changes to our Privacy Policy and Information Security.

We reserve the right to modify or amend this privacy statement at any time and for any reason.


GDPR requires that personal data be processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner and used for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes. The data should be adequate, relevant, and limited to what is necessary for the specified purpose, accurate and up-to-date, and processed in a secure manner. The data controller is responsible for, and must be able to demonstrate, compliance.

The major changes in GDPR apply to consumer-facing companies, with particular emphasis on consumer marketing, profiling and data relating to children, and these issues are not covered here.

The rules for business-to-business marketing remain much as they used to, i.e., there will be an opt-out regime. The Direct Marketing Association has issued the following advice:

“When dealing with employees of corporates, that is limited companies, LLPs, partnerships in Scotland and government departments, the rules for telephone and direct mail are the same, opt-out. When emailing or texting, you do not need the prior consent/opt-in from the individual. You can therefore send them a marketing email/text as long as you provide an easy way to opt out of future communications from you. For any B2B marketing communications, regardless of channel, the content must be about products and/or services that are relevant to the recipients’ job role. This situation will not change under GDPR. These rules for email and text messages come under the Privacy & Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and this will not be affected by the implementation of GDPR. What is important to remember when emailing or texting corporate employees is that where personal data is used for marketing, for example a work email address, they have the right to prevent their personal data being processed for direct marketing, which is why you must provide a way to opt out of future communications.”

We therefore contact only those individuals, whose email addresses / contact details can be found in the public domain and contact them because we believe that their business has a need for information on the latest trends and threats within technology or other subjects covered and discussed at our events. This represents legitimate interest in line with the ICO’s guidance.

We always provide a very easy way to opt out of receiving any future correspondence from us. All requests to opt out are carefully recorded in order to make sure these individuals are not contacted by us again at any point in the future.
